No Plan Survives
“No plan survives contact…” It’s become such a truism of life and it holds true in the world of Power BI. So often you will come to points where the reality of the data is different to agreed specification or where analysis leads development in different directions the key skill you need to learn here is that this is not an issue with you or your work. When you realise that a production dataset can be used by hundreds of reports and contain within it hundreds of measures – even with calculation groups – you can no doubt see that being able to groups your measures together can make things simpler for everyone working with your data.
